Weeds--something that does not raise positive feelings, especially among people who like gardening.
How easy it would be to cultivate gardens if these vicious plants were not present.
The weeds Jesus is talking about today, were also a curse for farmers living in Palestine.Even the ancient writers called them "stupid weeds", because it was difficult to distinguish between the weeds and the wheat. This was the reason why the Master did not allow his servants to gather the weeds. He was afraid that they would gather the wheat with the weeds.
Similarly, God allows this in our lives.Just as wheat is mixed with weeds, the good is mixed with every evil. Also, we want to quickly eliminate all evil living in the world. We also expect God's reaction instantly in the administration of justice. However, He allows both to grow. How many times do we hear- Why does God allow so much evil and injustice around the world? Why is this evil in the church?
These questions are without response, because we forget that God is God, and we will never understand His logic. We will never be absolutely good or absolutely evil. Perhaps, even more precisely, thanks to good and evil, it is easier for us to recognize evil, easier to compare with each other, but absolutely not to judge. And, in light of this, to see who I am, and whether the fruits of my life are really like wheat or weeds? Or, maybe I cannot recognize what is wheat and what is weeds?
