Very often in our lives we need moments in which to find time for ourselves. Advent, which we recently started, is a great opportunity for us to find timefor ourselves, our families, but for God too.
Today, from the mouth of John, we hear to straighten our roads, our ways, and that we repent, so that we can go back to Him.
Probably many of us have, from time to time, got lost. Many of us have had time to build walls to separate ourselves from Him. Maybe, many of us, by past events in our life ...just doubt life and God's presence. Maybe many of us started to roam alone building our selfishness and self sufficiency. For many of us faith is just a supplement to life, and for many of us our faith is not changing anything. For many of us, faith has started to be a thoughtless tradition..
So, for this reason, John calls us today to stop for a second and look at the way our life is going.
People who want to meet other people must move from their comfortable place and look in the right direction. The same situation is for our faith life. If we want to meet God, we cannot stay in the same place. We cannot just say, that we can do something more with our faith. We must make an effort, not just an effort for the way, but an effort in every moment and circumstance of events in our life and toward everyone that we meet.
Jesus Christ came to our world and depends on us to find a suitable way to meet with Him. So, we have a beautiful time, to once again find our way to Him and thru Him to others.
