People say time flows. And if time, compared to a river is accurate, then we must accept that the stream of flowing water is constantly changing. Sometimes faster, sometimes lazy, and frantically changes the waterfalls as the current pushes to the unknown. Thanks to this, we can admire the liveliness of water and admire Him.
I think I already said this, Jesus saying, "The time is fulfilled." Until now, we have been waiting, listening to the prophets, and welcoming the baptism of repentance from the hand of John. But, this time has ended. The river comes to a sharp turn getting ready for a meeting with the waterfall .Now comes the time to decide. For some people this will not be easy because they will change the current of their lives. Becoming like the water in a waterfall. A scenic beauty, but also not having any restrictions.
Jesus knew that this was His time. He knew that His teaching would be substance for the people. He needed to rally witnesses. People who would slowly change their own life. People who needed to be courageous and ready to follow Him to the unknown side. And these He found. The Fishermen from the sea of Galilee.
Today when we look at the adventure of life with Jesus we can say, Faith is not a quiet flow to the harbor . Faith is a risk of life for God and with God to bring people the Good News. Fishermen, as Christ called them, are not only fishing and gathering, but primarily self -giving, not on their own but through Christ in them.
Today, we hear Jesus calling us, "Come follow me and I will make you fishers of people."
He needs us. Needs us to live our faith with courage. God needs us to show this to the world in which we live.
